1. What are your office hours?
-VB Insurance Brokers is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. We are open through lunch. We are closed all statutory holidays.
2. Why should i obtain insurance from an independent insurance broker rather than a direct writer?
-As an insurance broker, we have the expertise to advise you on coverages that we suggest you need, or on coverage that we feel you do not need. If there is a problem with the insurance company, we act on your behalf to get things correct. Without an insurance broker, if there was a problem with a claim, the policyholder would have to fight with an insurance company. However, as a broker, we work for you.
3. How can i pay my bill?
-If your policy is agency billing, meaning you get an invoice from VB Insurance, then you can pay by cash, cheque, or debit. We do not accept credit cards. If you policy is direct billing, meaning you get a bill directly from the insurance company, such as Wawanesa, then you may pay by cash, cheque, debit, or credit card.
4. How can i cancel my policy?
-If you need to cancel your policy, then please give us a call so that we may advise you on how to cancel. We cannot cancel your policy over the phone. You may also complete the form below, and return it to us. Cancellation Request Form
5. Do you offer payment plans?
-One of our brokers will be happy to discuss possible payment options.
6. I think my pre-authorized withdrawal may have gone NSF. What should i do?
-First, check the bank. If the insurance company has accessed the account, and the funds were not there, then in most cases, they will try and access the account a second time, 3+ days later. Make sure to leave the money in your account. If the second attempt also goes NSF, then please contact our office.
